What We Do

Veterans of the Gulf War Alliance focuses on Gulf War Illness, toxic exposure, and the long-term impact of service following the 1990–1991 Gulf War.

Our work centers on three areas:

Veteran Support
Connecting veterans and families with resources, community, and information to navigate the long-term effects of Gulf War Illness.

Research Awareness
Highlighting established Gulf War Illness research, including chronic multisymptom illness, neurological symptoms, fatigue, pain, and cognitive dysfunction.

Policy Engagement
Supporting alignment between medical evidence and public policy to improve recognition, evaluation, and response to Gulf War Illness.

Gulf War Illness is not a temporary condition.
It is ongoing, documented, and still affecting veterans decades later.
